Patent Attorney, Founder

Innovation is happening at your company.
Let’s work together to protect and monetize it.

With several years of patent prosecution experience, including at a large, international law firm, I help companies protect their innovations. I know that there is no one-size-fits-all patent protection strategy. Instead, I use my experience to craft both offensive and defensive intellectual property (IP) portfolio strategies that meet a company’s needs where they are now—and where they aim to be in the future.

With experience in developing patent strategies, IP licensing, and working around competitor patent portfolios, I understand all sides of the coin. My experience ranges from counseling start-ups with no IP, to aiding in the management of IP portfolios for Fortune 100 companies.

So, whether your company’s IP portfolio includes a single trademark or 1000 patents, I can guide you through developing and implementing a holistic IP strategy to bring value to your company.

If you think your business could better benefit from a patent portfolio, book a free consultation, and let’s discuss how we can collaborate.

A little more about me:

I was raised on an 800-acre pumpkin farm in Upstate New York. I attended Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, with a focus on robotics. During my studies, I worked as a boiler technician to pay for my tuition. After meeting and marrying my wife while at BYU, we moved to Texas, where I received my juris doctorate from Texas A&M School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I have worked at internationally and regionally recognized law firms in Albany, New York; Fort Worth, Texas; and Dallas, Texas. I also served as judicial intern for Judge Karen Gren Scholer in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Outside of the law, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children, rock climbing, biking, wake surfing, and volunteering at my church.
